About Major General Dr. Atul Bajpai
Major General (Dr.) Atul Bajpai, Principal of Shri Gorakshnath Medical College Hospital and Research Centre. He is highly respected professor in the department of Community Medicine
Major General (Dr.) Bajpai obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S) degree from the prestigious College GSVM Medical College in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Then he went on to pursue his Masters (M.D) in Community Medicine from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune. He has also obtained Post Graduate Diploma in Hospital Management from National Institute of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi. His exceptional academic and administrative performance and experience earned him numerous accolades and awards throughout his academic career.
Major General (Dr.) Bajpai’s contributions to the medical education and health care field are immense. He has more than 30 years experience as Community Medicine Specialist inclusive of 23 years of teaching experience. He superannuated from Armed Forces Medical Services on 31st January’ 2020 as Deputy Commandant, AMC Centre and College, Lucknow. He has published numerous research papers and articles in national and international medical journals. He has also conducted several workshops and training programs for medical students and professionals to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Apart from his teaching, administrative and research work, Major General (Dr.) Bajpai has been actively involved in various social initiatives such as Mosquito and Vector Management, Nutrition and Disaster Management, Polio Eradication Programme. He has organized several medical camps in rural areas to provide medical assistance to the underprivileged. He has also actively participated in various health awareness campaigns to educate people about the importance of maintaining good health.
